Wladimir Klitschko vs David Haye update!

Talks between the camps of IBF/WBO/IBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko and David Haye appear to have collapsed. Coupled in the cancelation of a Los Angeles press conference to announce the April 11th clash between Chris Arreola and Jameel McCline, Eastern European media is running wild with reports that Wlad may now defend against Arreola on June 20. Team Klitschko has made no official announcement on who Wladimir’s next opponent will be.

Whats next for Ricky Hatton

On Ricky the 2nd of May 2009 Englands Ricky "hitman" Hatton takes on the p4p #1 Manny "pacman" Pacquaio but win lose or draw whats next for the Hitman whos only loss came at the hands of past p4p king undefeated "pretty boy" Floyd mayweather in 2007 hatton has since gone on to win his last 2 fights a 12 round decision over Juan Lazcano and an 11th round Tko over Pauli Malignaggi. Should Hatton win chances are he will go on to fight other big named fights possibly WBO welterweight champ Miguel Cotto, WBA welterweight champ Shane Mosley, Oscar De La Hoya, WBO light welterweight champ Kendall holt or maybe even a rematch with IBF champ Juan Urango who he beat on points in 2007. The options are there, Should hatton lose maybe retirement is on the cards for the Hitman as his chances of another big name could drop but Hatton is still a huge crowd puller and there has been talk of a rematch with Mayweather but losing to Pacquaio definatly wont help. But either way Hatton is still a big name and I for one think he will keep fighting other big fights for the foreseeable future.

Jermain Taylor vs Carl Froch is finally on

Jermain " Bad intentions" Taylor (28-2-1, 17 KOs),has built quite a reputation in boxing since winning a bronze medal for the United States at the 2000 Olympics. Taylor is the only boxer to defeat future Hall of Famer Bernard Hopkins TWICE....When he outpointed Hopkins the first time he became 160-pound undisputed world champion holding the WBC, WBA, IBF and WBO champion. On the other hand Carl "The cobra" Froch (24-0, 19 KOs),will be making the first defense of his WBC belt he gained in his last outing with a unanimous 12-round decision over Jean Pascal on Dec 6th. A victory over Taylor would put definatly put Frochs name on the boxing map.

Barrera " Ill end Amir like Hammed"

On march 14th at Birminghams M.E.N areana former 3 weight world champion Marco Antonio Barrera will go head to head with Boltons own Amir Kahn. Some people say the fight is a mismatch as Barrera is a future hall of famer with whos faught some of the best boxers in recent history fighters like Erik morales, Naseem Hamed, and current p4p (pound for pound) king Manny Pacquiao (who is set to fight British fighter Ricky hatton). Tho Barrera is 13 years Kahns senior he is still confident Claiming to have ended Naseem Hameds career back in 2001. Barrera said "by the time i was Kahns age i had made 6 defences of my world title and beaten some great fighters. But all i heqar about kahn is hes still a young kid even if he is 22. I heard all the same talk about Hamed when i beat him and taking care of Kahn will be much easier."
